Out of all the laptops you've owned which one were you most pleased with?
What was it about the computer that you liked?

My first laptop was a Gateway. It was state of the art at the time and worked like a charm. Wore it out, and technology had changed. Another Gateway and another really good choice. Next one was also a Gateway, but that was after I became ill and was on disability. I was not able to get top of the line and had to take second best. A let down, but still good.
I used it hard and abused it somewhat. When the keyboard went out, and then the cooling fan, I had to get something else, quick, since I then had a website and could not be without a computer. And I was really short of money so had to economize greatly. I got a Toshiba, with an AMD processor. I have never been happy with it and will never get a laptop with an AMD processor again.
I need a new laptop now, as this Toshiba is just not cutting it anymore, despite upgrading to 8GB memory. I had to add an external keyboard to it less than a year after I got it. It is slow and just cannot do what I need done. I should have the money to get a better system all around this time. It will probably be an HP. But I still miss that first Gateway. If I could get the equivalent version with today's tech in a Gateway, I would.
Just my opinion.

I have been through quite a few brands. I started out with a Toshiba Laptop. I now have a Windows Surface Pro Tablet PC. I think of all the laptops I've owed, my favorite brand was Asus. They came out with some laptops. My lease favorites are HP's. I never like HP desktops either.

I still remember my first laptop, it was IBM. I purchased it in 2007 and it works very good. Now I have been using an Apple MacBook its completely different from my first laptop. The working speed is fast, storage is large, light weight, easy to carry and simple to use.

I would like to choose the laptop on the basis of following features:
1: Operating system 2: CPU :Intel's Core 2 Duo CPU is a potent CPU that's the favorite 3: RAM : 2 GB of RAM should be the norm for individuals planning to maintain multiple Office application windows while surfing the Internet and checking e-mail 4: Video card : you should upgrade to video adapters with 256 MB of RAM. 5: Ports : most PCs now include integrated wired NICs, they don't always have PC Card slots, so that's an additional factor to consider before purchasing a new unit. 6: Screen size 7: Integrated wireless 8: Integrated Bluetooth 9: Track pad 10: Battery life
