There is a lot more to being a prepper then meets the eye. Being a prepper is not something to run from but to embrace. It means you are prepared for whatever life throws at you. It means your a survivor. If you want to learn more about prepping or what it is, visit digital United World Blog. You will find a lot of great articles on prepping and disaster preparation there and it is ever growing.

Actually, unless I am interpreting it incorrectly, 70% is over 2/3 of the population un-prepared. And of the 30% that do have some preparations, only about 3% are truly preppers in the sense of being prepared for major disaster long term, or for multiple types of disasters to any degree.
I agree with the idea that it would be nice if everyone became a prepper. At least to some degree. Any increase in the resource base of a community or nation increases the chances of people not only surviving but also recovering and then prospering after a disaster.
Just my opinion.

Thank you for correcting my information Jerry. It is most appreciated. Sometimes I get my information mixed up.
It concerns me actually about the lack of insight most have about preparation for disaster situations. I have heard that some research has found that a large portion of people they surveyed do not even own a first aid kit, if I remember correctly I believe the statistic was 44% of those they interviewed. While 48% had little to no preparation plans for disaster situations... I'm sorry, but that is too high a number for my liking. I would love to increase the amount of people who are prepared for a disaster no matter what kind. It increases their survival rate and it also becomes a benefit in helping others as well.

I actively participate in forums like this to try and encourage people to prepare. I try to give usable information, expressed as my opinion on various subjects, that will hopefully encourage people to start prepping, and help those already prepping continue to do so and increase their preps as much as possible. It is the same with my Prep/PAW fiction. I try to entertain as well as educate using fictional situations to present my ideas on how to prepare for a wide variety of potential disasters and situations.
I appreciate this venue to try and reach more people with a message that preparing helps them far more that what the costs are.
Just my opinion.

Well your opinions and ideas are greatly appreciated. You have a great amount of information to give. I would rather people engage in the conversation but I have noticed that guest have been viewing these post and I am happy that they are seeing the information. It is very important to be educated and to educate others on prepping for the worse case scenarios. There are so many lives that can be saved by such a simple task is voicing ones opinions and ideas on different methods of preparations.
